Madrid, Nov 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the stars descended on Europe last night during the MTV Europe Music Awards 2010. Lady Gaga capped a brilliant year by winning three major awards during the ceremony. The only minus for the show was that Lady Gaga was not at the venue to receive her awards. She was in Europe though but was at different part of Europe. Lady Gaga was performing in Budapest at the same time that the ceremony was going on. Even at the point she had to disrupt one of her shows and join the ceremony by video link to accept an award. Lady Gaga won the Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song awards.

The performance of the night however belonged to Rihanna. Rihanna with her fairy tale costume thrilled the fans in Madrid with her single “Only Girl(In the World)”. Rihanna had other reasons to celebrate the night. She learnt during the show that her single “Only Girl(In the World)” has hit the top of the rankings in the United Kingdom singles. Her song’s ascendancy to the summit toppled Cheryl Cole’s No. 1 single “Promise This” to the second place. Well Cheryl Cole can still hold her head high because her new album, “Messy Little Raindrops” is at the top of the list.
