Sep 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are fifteen new nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2011, including punk rap trio Beastie Boys and rapper actor, LLCool J, alongside New Jersey singer Bon Jovi, semi-evil Alice Cooper, and Tom Waits.

Folk singers Donovan and Laura Nyro, legendary Neil Diamond, Dr. John of New Orleans, and bar band J Geils Band also joined the ranks. Donna Summer, Chic, and Darlene Love joined the guys such as Joe Tex, and R&B singer Chuck Willis, also known as the King of Stroll.

It is the first time in which Bon Jovi, Donovan, Cooper, Dr John, and Diamond have been inductees, but Chic, Beastie Boys and Donna Summer have been before, along with LL Cool J and Darlene Love, although none of them have ever made it, obviously.

An artist is not eligible to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame until their first released album had been out for 25 years, or over 500 music pros have to vote them in.
