Mumbai, Oct 15 (IANS) Versatile actor Boman Irani says he was truly “honoured” to meet Mumbai’s world famous Dabbawallas, who are known for efficiently ferrying lunch boxes all over the city.
The actor met them for a session on Bloomberg UTV’s business reality show “The Pitch” Wednesday, said a press statement.
Boman even flagged off the dabba delivery for the day on Dabbawallas’ request.
“Meeting the Dabbawallas of Mumbai is an honour. I was hoping that they don’t turn us down because of their busy schedule and I am truly humbled by this gesture,” Boman said.
“The Pitch” is a show for aspirants who have business plans that they perceive viable and potentially profitable, but lack the funding to execute the plan. A prize money of Rs.5 crore will be given to the winner.

Why Shah couldn’t finalise Vidya Balan for Indira biopic?
After finishing the research work, now US-based Indian filmmaker Krishna Shah is looking for the right face to play main lead in his biopic on late prime minister Indira Gandhi.
Titled “Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story”, it will be a big-budget two-part movie on the life of the Indian leader who was known as Iron Lady. Shah earlier wanted Vidya Balan to play Indira, but changed his mind after consulting Hollywood make-up artist Greg Cannom, Shah’s publicist said in a press statement here.
The filmmaker is again hunting for the right face.
“Casting is very critical for the role of India Gandhi. As it stands today, only two actresses in Bollywood are on the scanner. One is Kareena Kapoor and the other is Priyanka Chopra. Both are equally suited to play Indira Gandhi,” Shah said.
“I haven’t yet met with either of the stars. I hope to meet with them soon. Now everything depends on their response, their dates and the deal. I know whoever plays the role will be an Oscar contender. She will be remembered through posterity as Indira Gandhi,” he added.
The first preference for the role, however, was Madhuri Dixit, who could not accept the project due to personal grounds.
Part one will focus on Indira Gandhi’s political career till the 1971 war, and the other will show her personal life as a mother to her sons — Rajiv, who succeeded her as the prime minister after her assassination in 1984, and Sanjay Gandhi.

‘Golmaal 3′ team plays prank on Tusshar
Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor found himself in a sticky situation thanks to a prank that the team of “Golmaal 3″ played on him recently.
Director Rohit Shetty, along with co-stars Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu, and popular host Cyrus Broacha were part of the prank, said a source. They had actors pose as journalists.
“As the press conference began, Tusshar kept getting asked a lot of embarrassing questions on why he chose to play a role that could potentially offend the physically challenged,” the source said.
“Though the team stepped in to answer on his behalf, another question would keep getting thrown at him. He was at a complete loss for words. The actors then walked out of the press conference as part of their well-schemed plan.”
“When all the actors decided to walk out, people at the press conference began to surround Tusshar who was by then almost on the verge of tears. The sight was just too amusing and that was when the prank was revealed to him,” the source said.
