Washington, Dec.13 (ANI): Infiniti Entertainment has begun the filming of e-Preeti, the first Bollywood movie set exclusively in Washington D.C.
The movie is the first to be directed by a second generation Indian-American!
The comedy film will shoot in December, January and February at several locales in the Washington , DC metropolitan area.
e-Preeti is a family-friendly bilingual (Kannada/English) romantic comedy. Produced by Manan Singh Katohora and directed by DC-native Priyabharati Joshi, the movie stars Diganth Manchale, Nina Mahesh, Tejaswini Prakash and Bharath Kumar.
The film addresses the complex inter-cultural issues that arise in relationships between Indian immigrants and Indian Americans who were raised in the US their entire lives by Indian immigrant parents, or who are a product of mixed marriages, or the so-called “ABCDs” (American Born Confused Desis).
The film is set against the backdrop of DCs politically charged government contracting community. e-Preeti is also unique in that several key members of the cast are Washington natives.
For the all-star Bollywood cast and crew, Infinity is hosting an official launch party! The event will be held Thursday, December 18, 2008 at The White Tiger Restaurant in Washington. (ANI)
