Bob Dylan’s rare photographs go on exhibit in Paris

Paris, Mar 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A special exhibition in Paris will showcase rare pictures of Bob Dylan which were taken in the 1960s and when the singer hit the world stage. The exhibition is currently ongoing at the Cite de la Musique in Paris.

Launched on the 5th of March, officials of the fair say the event will go on until the 15th of July. The images which were shot when the 70-year-old had started out in his rock career will be at display at the exhibition which is dubbed “Bob Dylan: The Rock Explosion 61-66.”

80-year-old Daniel Kramer took the pictures. He was with the singer during his tour from 1964 to 1965. Kramer recalled that, “When I began, he was a folk singer with one guitar and no back-up guys, no electrics, and one year later he’s at a huge stadium with huge speakers all over. He had a band, and he was electric with a whole new music.”

The exhibition was put together by the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. 60 black and white pictures which were taken at the time that Dylan was beginning to shine will be used for the exhibition.

The exhibition will come to a close on the 15th of July.
