Bob Dylan is the bookmarker’s choice for Nobel Prize in Literature

The singer is currently touring Europe and will perform in Dublin, Ireland. The winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature will be announced by the Nobel Committee on Thursday.
Initially, the odds were very much against the singer. According to the bookmaker Ladbrokes, Dylan was 100/1 to win the Nobel. However the recent days have been very good for the singer with his odds improving to 10/1 in the latest review.
The other writers who are vying for the honor are Swedish Poet Tomas Tranströmer, Syrian poet Adonis and Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami among others. Dylan is trailing all these people in the bookmakers’ list.
Dylan will know his fate on Thursday when the prize is announced at a ceremony in Stockholm. The singer will be performing at Ireland’s O2 Theater on the same day that the announcement will be made. He is touring the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The odds for Murakami to pick the prize is 8/1 while Tranströmer has 7/1 odds to be named the winner of the prize. Adonis is the top-rated personality to have the prize. He favored 4/1 to have the prize.
