Dec. 06, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The musical guest at this weeks installment of the “Saturday Night Live” was Rihanna. Her performance was the high point of the usually electric show hosted by Blake Lively, the “Gossip Girls” star. She performed the song “Hard” from her latest album “Rated R” along with Young Jeezy. The other song she performed in was “Russian Roulette”, also from her latest album that hit the stores only last month. She was also part of the funniest skit that was put up. She performed in the play called “Digital Short” with Adam Samberg, a regular performer of the Saturday Night Live. Adam Samberg performed as Shy Ronnie.

Rihanna’s appearance in the show was great. She looked stunning in her brand new haircut, a close crop with long fringes at the sides and forehead. The skit she participated in was simply hilarious, as were the others that were staged. For example, the one that made fun of the “White House Crashers”, in which the couple kept interrupting the president in his speech to click pictures.

There were also other little segments like the “Commercial Parody’ that was staged on “Swine Fever”, but it was not particularly good, with not much creativity going into it. The Tiger Woods issue was also taken a potshot at in the comedy “Situation Room”, admittedly a sketch on domestic abuse. All the other performances were also hilarious, more or less, although some were way below average. However, the reason that most watchers stayed glued to the show had to be Rihanna’s power packed performances at the end of the live show.
