‘Blade Runner’ voted ‘Best Sci-fi Film of all Time’

The poll, conducted by Totalscifionline.com found, found that the 1982 sci-fi film as the most preferred by movie lovers despite the film’s initial box office failure.
‘Blade Runner’, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford flopped when released but has since become a cult classic.
“It’s odd to think that ‘Blade Runner’ was not a critical or commercial success on its initial release in 1982,” the Telegraph quoted website editor, Matt McAllister, as saying.
“Yet while the depiction of a neon-lit future LA is still breathtaking, Ridley Scott’s film is backed up a real sense of sadness, fear and longing.
“However many times you’ve seen Blade Runner before, it retains its awe-inspiring power. A sci-fi masterpiece,” he added.
Second on the list was 1968’s ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ while 1977’s ‘Star Wars landed the third spot.
1979’s ‘Alien’ stood fourth and 1927’s ‘Metropolis’ rounded off the top five.
