Black Swan & Social Network nominated for WGA Awards

Los Angeles, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The nominations for the 2011 Writers Guild of America Awards have been announced.

“Black Swan” and “Social Network” received various nominations. The two movies were amongst the most highly rated in last year.

The “Black Swan” received nominations for the Best Original Screenplay category. It will be competing with other movies like “The Fighter”, “Inception”, “The Kids Are All Right” and “Please Give”.

“Social Network” will be competing for the Best Adapted Screenplay category during the awards with movies like “127 Hours”, “I Love You Phillip Morris”, “The Town” and “True Grit”.

The winners will be announced on the 5th day of February at New York.

“Social Network” is the story about the formation of Facebook. The movie reveals details about how the idea was formed and how the most popular networking website in the world was created.

The co-founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg initially criticized the movie but eventually he bought tickets for each of his staff and they all watched the movie. After watching the movie, Zuckerberg said that the movie did not portray as he thought it would.

Zuckerberg was expecting the movie to portray him in more negative manner.
