‘Black Swan’ And ‘The King’s Speech’ Rules BAFTA Awards 2011

. Each of these two films have received 15 nominations each.

Both these two films will compete in the categories of ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best director’. Colin Firth from The King’s Speech and Black Swan actress Natalie Portman have been nominated in the ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Actress’ categories.

Thriller movie Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio has followed the list with 14 nominations and the same figure is shared by British drama ‘Made in Dagenham’.

The much liked youth based movie The Social Network has got 13 nominations. By January, the nomination list will get narrowed down to five in each category. The BAFTAs will be held in London on February 13. For now, there are 15 nominations that have entered in each categories.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the Fighter Shutter Island, True Grit and Alice In Wonderland have been nominated in 12 categories. The nominations have come after the first round voting of 6,300 BAFTA members.

The Town by Ben Affleck also got 11 mentions in the Award nomination. For now, the filmmakers and actors can just keep their fingers crossed for the final call.
