Oct 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This is probably the end to the long wait for the fans of Billy Schram, who is back on the popular television series ‘Monk’ albeit only for one episode. Schram, who left the show few seasons back reportedly after having a monetary dispute with the producers would again be essaying the role of Sharona Fleming, who is Adrian Monks assistant and would be seen playing the role after a gap of five years. This is the eighth season of the detective series and is scheduled to end by the month of December this year.

It is said that Schram also did substantial degree of research in order to successfully portray the character. She had attended innumerable number of sessions with psychotherapists who gave her intrinsic details and provided reading materials which helped her immensely to understand the psychological problems faced by people suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

‘Monk’ is a crime drama that features Tony Shalhoub in the title role of Adrian Monk. The show was telecast for the first time on USA Network in the year 2002 and since then it has gained immense popularity. Especially, the role of Monk’s assistant played by Schram, which earned her huge fan-following and even contributed a lot to enhance the viewership of the show. After her exit, the character of Natalie Teeger was brought into the plot to replace Schram’s character. Natalie was played by Traylor Howard. Although she is back for just an episode but this is surely good news for her fans who were extremely disappointed when she left the show and have long awaited her return.
