Binny Sharma, who has been a household name these days for her character ‘Gauri’ in Zee TV’s show ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’, has a wonderful journey in television. The 22 year old started her journey from the stage of the channel’s reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ and rose to fame with her different dancing styles.
The dancing doll was in Geeta Kapoor’s ‘Geeta Ki Gang’ and impressed everyone with her flexible dancing styles. She was seen performing hip hop, locking and popping, Freestyles, B boying, krumping and semi classical style. Coming from Punjab, the bubbly girl ruled the ‘Dance India Dance’ stage and made her place among the top four finalists.
Interestingly, Binny had never taken any formal training and went for a basic hip hop workshop for 3 months. Following her successful exit from the ‘Dance India Dance’ stage, the girl was called to give audition for the lead role in Zee TV’s new show ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’. The makers DJ’s Creative Unit wanted a fresh and innocent face for the role and Binny suited it best.
Now, we see her doing quite good as an actress alongside renowned veteran actors like Aruna Irani and Sudha Chandran. Binny was paired opposite television industry much lovable hunk Iqbal Khan. Gauri plays a simpleton girl of a middle class family, who is the only support system for her widow mother and younger brother.
Her family struggles to live a dignified life but they often face the cruel side of the world in this or that form. But, Binny’s character Gauri is a practical and strong girl, who knows how to come out of all negativities in every extreme worst situation. Destiny brings her closer to rich guy Rudra, who is in love with another girl Pihu (Aditi Gupta) but their families are against this union. When Pihu decides to marry another girl, Rudra was left heartbroken and he tries to take his life. At this point, Gauri comes as a saviour and they turn good friends. She supports him emotionally and helps to unite with Pihu but as the destiny has something else for them, Gauri starts loving Rudra without his knowledge.
‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’ started airing from August 16 and has completed almost four months with good response from the viewers. A dancer has been able to prove herself as an actress and Binny is expected to be counted as one of the leading actresses in television industry soon!
