Oct 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It came as a real shock the Miley Cyrus’ fans when their parents announced they will part their ways after 17 years of marriage. Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from his wife Leticia Cyrus a.k.a. Tish Cyrus yesterday in Tennessee. The representative of the couple released a joined statement where it was stated that the reason for their split was “irreconcilable” differences.

In the joined statement addressing the media and their fans where the couple stated that the family is presently going through a very “difficult” time. Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus also said that the couple is presently trying to work on their personal matters and solve all the problems. However, in the end through the statement the couple said that the family appreciates the thoughts and “prayers” of their fans. The couple have three children together, the “Hannah Montana” actress Miley Cyrus, Braison, 16, and Noah, 10. Billy Ray later adopted Trace and Brandi, Tish Cyrus’ children from her previous relationship. The divorce documents are filed in Williamson Country Chancery Court.

A reputed media source reported that Billy Ray Cyrus has asked for joined custody of their three children and at the same time he has asked for equal distribution of their marital state. The representative of the couple have refused to divulge any more details about the divorce. “Achy Breaky Heart” star Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish Cyrus had been together for each other through thick and thin and they played a vital role on shaping Miley Cyrus’ career. Tish Cyrus was spotted yesterday with her son Braison Chance and daughter Noah as she arrived at the lawyer’s office yesterday.
