The Boxmasters In a recent interview on a radio show, it is reported that Billy Bob Thornton had lashed out at the host only because the host had asked questions related to the actor/ musician’s movies and not his music. The musician had taken offense on the fact that the host has seemed to suggest that his movie career was more prolific than his stint at the music.

Thornton and his band The Boxmasters had gotten embroiled in a controversy while on their North American tour. According to reports, Thornton had made an anti- Canadian comment while on air on a radio show, calling the Canadians ‘mashed potato with no gravy’. This had upset the fans in Canada so much that they had booed the Oscar winner all the way in to scrapping off the remainder of his North American tour. Even with his stating that his comment had been against a DJ he had fallen out with and not generalized, fans were unwilling to buy the explanation. The fans had reportedly chanted loud ‘here come the gravy’ when Thornton and his band had entered the arena. All these jeering had forced the band to pull out of their schedule.

Early this month, Thornton was dragged in to news when his daughter was reportedly arrested on the charges of first degree murder. The long estranged daughter of Thornton, Amanda Brumfield, had told cops last October that the child who had died while she was baby sitting had fallen from the cot and died. However, medical reports had revealed that the child had received a fatal wound with a blunt object that had led to the death.
