Bike manufacturers to sell Marlon Brando apparel
November 13th, 2009 - 3:47 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Nov 13 (IANS) Triumph Motorcycles are all set to sell movie icon Marlon Brando’s apparel at the company’s dealerships.
The administrators of the star’s estate have signed off on the new project with Triumph who will offer replica leather jackets inspired by Brando’s biker character in “The Wild One” under the label - The Triumph Legends Line, reported contactmusic.com.
This modern day replica includes key features of Brando’s original jacket right down to the embroidered “Johnny” name tag and the BRMC distressed print on the back of the jacket.
Triumph is also developing Brando print men’s and ladies’ T-shirts.
The actor, who died July 1, 2004 played tough biker gang leader Johnny Strabler in 1953’s “The Wild One”. His character rode a 1950 Triumph Thunderbird 6T.
