However, director Arun Roy was keen on showcasing the life of football player Rajendranath Sengupta in a celluloid project, therefore when the opportunity came knocking at his door once again, Arun Roy did not miss it and contacted Bijit Basu immediately. Therefore actor Bijit Basu will now be playing Rajendranath Sengupta in his first Bengali project. The actor is thrilled and has also started work on the upcoming film, for which he has to go through extensive training including playing football following the style of Rajendranath Sengupta.
With ‘Egaro’, Bijit Basu looks forward to a bright career in the Bengali film industry. Reports claim that the actor has already become a part of the star cast of director Arun Roy’s next film in which he will be playing a terrorist from Pakistan. Football and terrorism being both hard hitting subjects, Bijit Basu is surely starting it out with unconventional films to his name.
