Big B and Katz to Work Together

May 3, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Prakash Jha’s multi-starrer, Rajneeti, is all set release soon. The director has already begun to work on his next project. So impressed is he with his Rajneeti leading lady, Katrina Kaif, that he has cast her in his next film as well. And teaming up with Katz on this one are Bollywood megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn.
Jha has been known to make films on hard-hitting reality and Aarakshan is no different. It deals with the sensitive issue of job reservation. Set against an academic backdrop, it depicts socio-political realities of present day system. Amitabh Bachchan essays the role inspired buy his late father, the eminent Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He plays a college principal and Ajay, his favourite student. Katrina plays Amitabh’s daughter is paired opposite Ajay, who hails from a backward class and supports the reservation system.
Katrina has earlier done a cameo in Big B’s Sarkar, where she played Abhishek Bachchan’s girlfriend. This time it’ll be a full-fledged role. The lovely Kat is already preparing for it by reading up on issue of job reservation. It will also be her first film with Ajay Devgn. All three stars have distinct personalities and style of acting. With this terrific trio, Jha sure has a casting coup of sorts.
