Bharat directs ‘Sirimallepuvvu’

March 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Shooting of “Sirimallepuvvu’, a remake of successful Kannada film “Oggina Manasu’ was launched at Annapurna Studios recently. Bharat Parepalli is directing this film after “Maisamma IPS’. The film is being presented by Neelam Anupama and produced by Neelam Shankar on the banner of Neha Media Pvt Ltd. Nitish, Keerthi, Nagasri, Jyothi, Rashmi are playing the lead roles in this movie. Senior Congress leader Venkataswamy gave the clap, while state minister Sudarshan Reddy switched on the camera for the muhurat shot under the honorary direction of Director’s Association president Sagar. Director Bharat says, “We are remaking a successful Kannada film in Telugu. The film had bagged five Filmfare awards in that language. I am sure that the film would give a good break both for me and the debutant artistes. Ajay Patnaik is scoring music for the film. We will launch the regular shooting of the film from April 10. The film with college in its backdrop, would be shot entirely in Rajahmundry. We have plans to release the film in July.’ Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ali, Keerthi and others are in the cast.
