Los Angeles, Dec 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much in love couple, who married in April 2008 are going to change their names now. Jay-Z - whose real name is Shawn Carter will now be known as Shawn Knowles-Carter, while Beyonce will be known as Beyonce Knowles-Carter. They are doing this to keep the Beyonce’s parental line from dying out.

“They want to keep Knowles because Beyonce’s parents didn’t have any sons and they’re keen to keep the name going strong, especially if they don’t produce any children themselves,” a source said.

And earlier this week, the Knowles family got another devastating blow when it was announced that Beyonce’s parents Tina and Mathew would be divorcing after almost 3 decades of marriage.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles was born on September 4, 1981. She is often referred to as Beyoncé is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, actress and model. She was born and raised in Texas, and she was a talented kid, as she was performing and singing while in school itself.

Her career as a singer kick-started when she became the lead singer of the R&B girl group Destiny’s Child in the late 1990’s. According to Sony, Knowles record sales, when combined with the group, have surpassed 100 million.
