London, May 23 (IANS) Pop superstar Beyonce Knowles says she cannot go to church because she gets mobbed. Speaking to a magazine, she said: “I can’t really go to church anymore, which is a shame.” Members of the congregation get carried away when they see her in the church, ananova.com reports.

She added: “People have come up to me in church during the sermon and, of course, people watch everything I do. They come up and take pictures on their mobile phones too. They are very nice, but I think God understands if I miss Sunday service!”

She refuses to talk about her marriage to hip hop star Jay-Z.

She said: “I don’t deny the marriage. I just don’t talk about it. We have never talked about us and it has kind of protected our relationship. A lot of actresses that have had successful relationships don’t talk about them, so neither do I. I just want to protect my private life.”
