Betty White to star in the TV Land sitcom ‘Hot in Cleveland’

white1 New York, Mar 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The legendary actress Betty White has been finalized to play a critical role in the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland. She is an Emmy award winner for The Golden Girls, and recently in January she also received the lifetime achievement award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. She will also host Saturday Night Live soon, after the online campaign for to make her the host, succeeded.
The show Hot in Cleveland revolves around the trio Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, who are close friends and belong to Los Angeles. They plan to visit the fashion capital of the world – Paris, but somehow they end up in Cleveland and decide to stay put there, because the local inhabitants think that they are famous and glamorous. The trio of best friends ends up staying in the same house, and they discover themselves in a very different light.

The legendary actress Betty White portrays the caretaker of their house, and she leaves no stone unturned to trouble all of them. This new series is all set to air in the summers – June 2010.
