Betty White says that she still goes on dates
May 6th, 2011 - 9:45 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, May 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Betty White appeared on David Letterman’s show. During the interview, Letterman asked the 89-year-old if she was still dating.
White has not been married since 1981. She lost her husband that year having been married since 1963. When Letterman popped the question, White protested a bit and later replied in the affirmative.
She said, “Why do you make it sound like such a remote possibility…I mean, is there a possibility? How in the world?!”
White has defied her age in all sense. She has no plans to fade to the background. The actress recently announced her own show which she said will play pranks on younger generation.
The new reality show which is airing on NBC is titled “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.” The show actually turns the age long prank that the younger generation plays on the older generation on its head. In the new show, senior citizens with hidden cameras surprise people on the streets and catch their reactions on tape as well.
It might be interesting to know how Jay Leno will be feeling seeing that Betty was on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Leno and Letterman have been fierce rivals for years.
