May 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Betty White, the well known comedienne, made her appearance in the popular comedy show “Saturday Night Live”. This was her first appearance as the guest host of the show. In fact, her appearance as the host of the show comes after a long battle of all her fans, who had been claiming for a long time that she should be inaugurated as the host of the popular comedy show, given her vast comedic talent. However, although the comedienne herself had not commented on it back then, the producers of the show seemed to have liked the idea, resulting in her appearance on Saturday, May 8, on the show.

Betty White’s appearance in the “Saturday Night Live” proved to be a very touching one and rather nostalgic too, with all the former and present members of the cast of the show coming over to honor the octogenarian comedienne. The cast sat her down on the stage, and proceeded to sing the famous theme song of the “Golden Girls,” so very synonymous with Betty White herself. However, the touching moment soon turned tragic, and humorously so, in keeping with the format of the show.

It so happened that Betty White said that she would have preferred a ‘heavy metal’ moment much more to a soft, touching one, and went on to wear a ski mask in the sketch that followed. The best part of the show was that Betty White was present in each and every one of the skits that were presented, and as she spoke, it seemed to bring the show to life. Thankfully, though, there was no nudity, just as Betty White had promised.
