Betty White invited to the Marine Corps Ball
July 18th, 2011 - 9:48 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattWashington, July 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Betty White is the latest Hollywood celebrity to be invited to the Marine Corps Ball. The event will take place in November. Justin Bieber and Mila Kunis are the other stars that have been given an invitation to attend the event.
In a special invitation which was extended via YouTube to 90-year-old Betty, Sgt. Ray Lewis who has served in Afghanistan and Iraq said he is going to have a great time at the Ball if Betty could make the trip.
In the video, Lewis said that, “I would like to take Betty White, she’s funny, she’s sweet, she’s mature, she’s the all-around the perfect women. I’m fun… I’m going to be performing. I think I could make her laugh, I think she could make me laugh. I think we could laugh together. It’s gonna be great.”
Lewis is billed to perform at the event. He posted the video on Friday. The invitation to Betty is coming just days after Kunis and Bieber received their own invitations. The two have agreed to be at the event. Betty has not replied to the latest invitation.
The US army has been busy in the last decade. The country has been engaged in two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
