Better of Ted - A Lemur, a Lawyer and Ted?

Dec 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Linda’s children book that features a lemur is bought by a publishing company. As Linda talks to Ted about her new found fame she shows him the drawing of the lemur and Ted points out that the lemur looks a lot like Phil. Linda denies the resemblance until she sees the photo and Phil side by side. Convinced her idea of the lemur was from the image of Phil in her head she decided to let Phil know about her book and the character. Phil is excited about the cartoon like character, then informs Linda the strict policy that Veridian has with employees and any think they create while employed at Veridian. In other words he says “You create it, they own it!”. Linda now has to figure out a way that Veridian will not own her creation of the lemur.

Veronica learns that some staffers will be unemployed and she discovers this from Ted’s daughter Rose. In an attem pt to save the humiliation of several employed staff workers about to be let go by the “big boss man” Veronica convinces Ted that if Rose tells them first they could possibly intervene somehow to avoid embarrassment to their department. Ted agrees that pumping Rose for the information is a good idea. In the process they discover the source for Rose’s inside information is through the friend of the big boss man. After catering to Rose with pizza, candy and autographs of celebrity stars they learn of one employed workesr could be leaving to work for Veridian’s competition in Seattle.

Linda after talking to Veronica about her book, finds out her lemur character is being used for a beer commercial in Asia aimed at children. Lem learns that the affair he is having with one of the company lawyers is docking his pay for the billable hours he is spending with his new found love.
