Celebrated comedian, Bernie Mac has been hospitalized with clinical pneumonia. The comedian is in a very critical condition and at one time, the doctors had thought he had passed away. The news of Bernie death spread widely and fast but has been played down so far after reports from the hospital clarified that Bernie is alive and responding to treatment. Bernie Mac is in a Chicago hospital, with pneumonia. He was in “very, very critical” condition late Saturday. According to his publicist Danica Smith the 50-year-old comedian is responding well to treatment. Smith said the pneumonia isn’t related to an inflammatory lung disease that Mac also has. Bernie Mac got famous for his off-color jokes during a big fundraiser dinner in Chicago. This function was for Barack Obama’s Democratic fundraiser.
Bernie is a Chicago native and a very well to do comedian. He has earned praise for his very original and consummate acting style. He is a comedian with his own style and very rich originality. The 50-year-old Mac has a condition renowned sarcoidosis which been in remission since 2005. However, this is not associated with the current condition. Bernie started as a school bus driver for the handicapped before breaking into stand-up comedy three decades ago. He has risen through the ashes of times to become a leading comedian who has earned immense praise. He is famous for his show ‘Bernie Mac’s show’. He has done a series of big screen roles in the 1990s in flicks like “House Party 3,” “Friday” and spike Lee’s “Get on the Bus.” He became famous through the “The Original Kings of Comedy” in 2000 and “Ocean’s Eleven” in 2001. The Bernie Mac show made him a household name though the hilarious comedy TV series was canceled in 2006. Bernie’s sickness has the world of comedy at ransom. May he get well.
