Oct 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The American film director and “Jurassic Park” actress Laura Dern seems to be going through a tough phase in her life. After having high-profile romances with Kyle MacLachlan, Nicolas Cage, Renny Harlin, Jeff Goldblum, and Billy Bob Thornton the actress finally married musician Ben Harper on December 23, 2005. However, recently the aficionados of the pair are shocked to hear the news that the Grammy-award winning singer has filed for divorce from his wife after 5 years of their marriage.

Ben Harper reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Laura Dern after five years of their marriage citing irreconcilable differences for their marriage. However, the couple was unavailable for any comments. The representatives of the couple are also tight-lipped about the whole matter. A reputed media outlet reported that the couple is presently seeking joint custody of their children Ellery Walker and Jaya. It seems to be a surprise for the media outlets as the couple who was thought to be a perfect pair suddenly came up with divorce.

A reputed media source reported that the divorce papers cite that though the couple has filed for divorce now, the couple has been staying separately since January. A source close to the couple reported that they have been traveling together through out the year and recently they were even spotted at a party together. The eye-witnesses reportedly said that the couple was quite intimate at the party and there was no sign of any “differences” in them. The couple has always kept their personal life under wraps. The media outlets are, however, presently abuzz with the speculations about the whole affair of their marital discord.
