Beetlejuice actor Glenn Shadix dies at the age of 58 years

Birmingham, Sep 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Glenn Shadix has died at the age of 58 at his home in Birmingham. He died on Tuesday and the cause of death is not immediately known. Glenn is highly remembered for his role in the comedy “Beetlejuice”.
Glenn returned to Birmingham after years of living in Los Angeles, America. His sister, Susan Gagne told reporters that his brother was using a wheelchair and he was found on the floor of his kitchen and it appears he struck his head on the floor when he fell.
A memorial will be held for Glenn on Saturday at Birmingham. “He was one of the most creative, original, funny and wise performers I’ve ever had the privilege to work with,” said one of his co-actors Green, who had worked with Glenn for more than 10 years.
Glenn shot into fame with his performance in the 1988 horror comedy “Beetlejuice”. Glenn granted an interview in 2008 during which he said that he was not surprised with the success of the movie. He explained that during the shooting of the movie, the crew and the casts had so much fun that he realized there is something special about the movie and he was proved right.
Glenn appeared in more than 30 films including NBC’s “Seinfeld”. His mother, sister and brother-in-law survive him. Glenn was a gay rights activist.
