Therefore it should not come as a surprise that the episode ‘Oprah’s Ultimate Favorite Things’ made the people who make products used by her, famous overnight. The fortune of a Seattle based chef is going to be changed after his Cheese and Mac was selected by the talk show queen. Chef Kurt Beecher Dammeier was taken aback by the sheer good luck and later he shared the news with his customers. He became so elated that he offered his customers at his Pike Place outlet mac and cheese for free. He started making and selling Beecher’s Handmade Cheese about four years back. However, the chef is still trying to comprehend how Oprah Winfrey got to know about his products.

Chef Kurt Beecher Dammeier is sure that Oprah Winfrey has not come to his outlet ever. It was six weeks back when he got a call from her team which took him by sheer surprise. The chef admitted that it took him some time to let the feeling sink in. He said in an interview later that he got several calls from Oprah Winfrey’s team asking for samples and that indeed left him rather nervous. However, the Oprah team made sure that the chef would keep the secret to himself until the show is aired.

The interesting thing is that the unique taste in his dish is a special type of cheese. It needs to be kept aside for 18 months before it is used. As expected, after the special Oprah Winfrey episode was aired, the chef witnessed his website receive a whopping 20000 hits within an hour.
