May 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The finale episode of “American Idol” proved to be one of the biggest so far, with guest performers ranging from the bygone days to the absolutely new ones revving up the musical quotient of the show. The biggest surprise of the show turned out to be none other than Bret Michaels, straight out of the hospital bed and recovering from a major brain hemorrhage. However, the next biggest surprise, if not the appearance of the rocker Alice Cooper with Orianthi, was the reappearance of the Bee Gees, at least what is remaining of the celebrated pop band. The appearance of the band brought out loud cheers from the audience, for most of whom, this was surely the best part of an evening that was a throwback to the previous “American Idol” seasons.
The Bee Gees appeared on stage singing their smash hit “How Deep Is Your Love,” accompanied by the remaining 12 contestants of the American Idol. The song filed the stage right after the performance of Alice Cooper and Orianthi, with Aaron Kelly and Siobhan Magnus belting out the timeless classic beautifully. As was evident from the reactions of the audience, it was very much obvious that they liked the performance of the two contestants immensely. However, nothing could really match up to their reactions when the Bee Gees actually came up on the stage.
The Bee Gees came up on the stage halfway through the performance. Their appearance sent up screams of elation from the audience, who were certainly not expecting this. Although the entire team was not present in the stage, naturally, the remaining members of the band were enough to have made the evening a memorable one.
