May 26th, 2009 - 9:43 pm ICT by GD ( Leave a comment )The Hip Hop group Beastie Boys have supposedly revealed the title of their latest album to their fans through an email message. The news comes from Billboard.com. According to the news, the latest album is titled “Hot Sauce Committee.” The email message supposedly runs: “Our new record that is coming out that we finished the other day is called “Hot Sauce Committee.”
The Beastie Boys are set to attend numerous music festivals in the summer of ‘09. Some of these are “Outside Lands”, “Austin City Limits”, “All Points West”, “Lollapalooza”, and “Bonnaroo”. Their previous album came out in 2007 and it had won a Grammy. Thus this album comes after a considerable wait for the fans of this immensely popular rap group. It is expected to be released this September. Meanwhile, Adam “MCA” Yauch, one of the members of the group, has been busy attending the Cannes Film Festival. He is taking a break and enjoying every bit of his being at one of the most premiere film festivals in the whole world.
The Beastie Boys had made their start as a hard core punk group in 1979 but have a come a long way ever since. They shifted to the territory of hip hop with the release of “Cooky Puss”. Their debut album “Licensed to lll” was released in 1986 and it enjoyed both critical laurels and international commercial success. Right now they are once more keen on breaking into a new track by taking rap in a “bizarre new direction.” They have had their share of controversies, but there is no doubt that the Beastie Boys are no less popular today than they were 20 years ago.
