Katy Perry Los Angeles, Aug 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Beach boys have threatened to sue Katy Perry over her latest song, which is titled ‘California Gurls’. The record label that works with the Beach Boys is planning to sue the singer, as Katy has used one of the most popular lines of the Beach Boys in ‘California Gurls’.

The offending line in question is none other than - “I wish they all could be California Girls”. It ought to be mentioned that this line first appeared in the 1965’s song of the Beach Boys, which was written by Mike Love and Brian Wilson.

So now it seems like the ‘I kissed a Girl’ singer Katy Perry is in deep trouble. The threat of the lawsuit was first broken by Daily Record. There are reports that Brian Wilson and Mike Love’s record label – Rondor Music has written to Capitol, which is Katy Perry’s record company. In the letter they have written that they want a percentage of the money that the record company and Katy would make from the song. And that is not all, apart from that they also want credit for the line in question. However there has been no reaction as yet from Katy Perry’s spokesman.
