bazLos Angeles, California, Sep 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Cast and crew at the “Dancing With The Stars” is going to get a taste of the Baz Luhrmann effect this week. The celebrated director of such acclaimed screen ventures as the “Moulin Rouge” and “Strictly Ballroom,” is all set to be featured in this weeks episodes of the dance based reality show that features the participation of popular, well known stars.

Luhrmann is going to make his appearance at the show, all the while donning the judge’s cap. Luhrmann is going to step in as the guest judge for the week, in place of the show’s original head judge, Len Goodman (who is reportedly taking the week off). So, in the Monday and Tuesday’s episode for the show, it is going to be the “sharp eye for details” Luhrmann, who is going to be seen in the judge’s seat.

One thing is for certain, that Luhrmann is ably suited to fill out the judge’s shoe while Goodman takes his leave for the week. Having made such dance based and extravagant movies like the musical “Moulin Rouge” (which harked the return of the musicals to the Hollywood scene) as well as his debut vehicle, ’strictly Ballroom,” it is known well that Luhrmann is no stranger to elaborate dance routines.

He also has the assistance of his mother, who was a professional ballroom judge, in order to help him out in case he needs advice. He fits in to the “Dance” scene more, as the host for the show, Tom Bergeron says that Baz Lurmann’s debut venture “Strictly Ballroom” was supposed to be the “major inspiration in the creation of this little show.”
