Nov 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As the story goes, on February 25th, 1942 at around 2 o’clock in the morning, there were hundreds and thousands of witnesses to a strange phenomenon in the skies over Los Angeles, California. The United States Army sent planes to intercept, and anti-aircraft guns fired more than fifteen hundred rounds for over two hours at the object which was seen in the air.

The unidentified flying object was never hit, and finally vanished. After being briefed, the president ordered the launch of an investigation which gave no answers. The government eventually just dismissed the whole affair, the events were never explained, and the story was said to have been forgotten…until now.

Actors Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguaz, and Bridget Moynahan as well as Ne-Yo star in this new movie which is slated for release on March 11, 2011 in the United States. An American Marine platoon will be fighting against the alien invasion which begins in Los Angeles.

The movie’s plot was inspired by those real events of February 24 and 25th 1942 over the city. Aside from the full blown artillery barrage which was launched, air raid sirens were heard throughout the area, and newspapers printed sensational stories of a UFO cover up by the US government.
