batLondon, Mar 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Action adventure video game ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ was adjourned the best game at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) 2010, which was held recently in London. The recognition was indeed special for the makers of the video game as BAFTA is considered to be one of top honors in the UK gaming community.

However, winning the top recognition in the much anticipated ceremony was not the only honor bestowed upon the popular video game as it also took home the award in the best gameplay category. In order to win the much coveted title, ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ had to leave behind the much loved adventure game ‘Uncharted 2: Among Thieves’ which received multiple nominations and also bagged as many as four awards. However, the globe-trotting adventure video game failed to grab the honor in the best game category which was registered by the computer game showcasing the DC Comics superhero. Meanwhile, ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2′ which has been named the second best selling video game ever in United Kingdom, received the honor of the public voted GAME award.

The honor conferred on the UK-developed video game does not come as a surprise as it has gained immense popularity among video game lovers all across the world, following its release in the month of August last year. At the same time, all the fans of ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ have something to look forward to as the game of the year version of the action adventure video game which would include a choice to play it in 3D, is all set to be released in Europe and in Australia later this month.
