Barrymore in talks to produce ‘The Heist Society’
July 2nd, 2011 - 3:37 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, July 2 (IANS) Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore is in talks to produce a film based on the book “The Heist Society” along with Warner Bros.
“Heist Society,” published last year by Hyperion books, revolves around a teenage girl balancing school and her family’s criminal activities.
In the novel, the story is triggered by powerful mobster being robbed of his priceless art collection — with the girl’s father as the main suspect — and the protagonist responding by assembling a crew to steal it back, reports variety.com.
Barrymore has previously produced films like “How to Be Single” and “He’s Just Not That into You”.
