moriLos Angeles, May 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Television legend Barbara Walters has undergone a heart surgery to repair one of her faulty heart valves and is now in the hospital’s recovery zone. Cindi Berger, the representative of Barbara Walters has reported that the operation was a success and the doctors are also hopeful about the fact that the co-host of the TV program “The View” will recover very soon and get back to her normal health so that she can start work on the programs on which she appears during this year’s fall season.

The 80 year old Barbara Walters is not only the host of “The View” but also its co-creator and a TV journalist at the same time. During last Monday’s edition of “The View”, she had announced about the operation she would be undergoing shortly, also telling her viewers that she had been aware of her heart condition for a long time now.

It has been reported that the doctors of the TV legend had planned to conduct the operation during the summer so that Barbara Walters can take the much needed rest during this season. Her recovery at the hospital will hopefully do good to the old lady’s health. Her publicist reported to the media yesterday that Barbara Walters is keeping in good health after the replacement of her faulty heart valve. In fact she is even planning to return to her favorite place, the television screen very soon and says that she will be paying a visit to her audience every now and then through “The View”.
