Los Angeles, May 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The creator of ‘The View’ – Barbara Walters announced to the viewers of the show, that she is all set to take some time off from the show, as she has to undergo heart surgery. She has a faulty heart valve that needs to be replaced.

According to LA Times Blog, Barbara Walters said that, “You know how I always say to you how healthy I am. … I’ve never missed a day’s work. Later this week, I’m going to have surgery to replace one faulty heart valve. Lots of people have done this and I have known about this condition for a while now.”

Barbara Walters expects that the recovery process after the surgery would take three months. She also confessed that she has known for quite some time about ‘many months’. She talked with her doctors and the both of them decided that she could take a break till August, and then come back on to the show in September. She sounded relieved on the show when she discussed the problem, and said that it is a compulsory surgery and there is no other way out, and that she is glad that the problem is now going to be taken care of.
