Barbara WaltersFeb 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Barbara Walters is yet another host, who knows how to captivate the audiences and yet discuss on the sensible topics in her show. In the latest episode, entitled as “A Matter of Life and Death”, she invited some of the most exciting people like President Bill Clinton, Robin Williams, David Letterman and Regis Philbin in ABC News Special on Friday. All of them, including the host, had one thing in common, that is heart surgery.

All the guest who were invited in the show have been subjected to heart surgery, and the show spoke about their experiences and what they went through after being under the knives. Barbara Walters thought that it was the perfect way to spread awareness about the problem, as heart surgery and cardiac problems are the worst fear of many aging people in the nation. However she said that she did not want the show to sound like a one hour classroom lecture, and wanted to make it interesting for the audiences, so that they could enjoy the session, while getting a good insight about the problem. She thought that the infusion of well known people in the show would be the best way to serve the purpose.

Barbara Walters said that while she came to know that she was about to undergo the surgery, she did not disclose the news to anyone, apart from Bill Clinton, although she still does not know why she did not tell the news to even her daughter. David Letterman said that although he was depressed he at-times “cries out of joy” for being a survivor, after losing his father for the same reason. Robin Williams and Barbara Walters showed the audiences their scars that is yet to be healed. Bill Clinton said that he maintains a very simple diet with grains, vegetables and fruits and he wants to live for a few more years to see his grandchildren grow.
