Los Angeles, Sep 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Barbara Walters returned to the show “The View” after she had an open-heart surgery in May 2010. Barbara was joined on the show by David Letterman, who himself had a similar surgery almost a decade ago.

Letterman shared his experience of the surgery on the show saying he feels great after the surgery. He said the greatest moment of the whole surgery was when the doctor put his hand on his shoulders after the surgery and told him that, everything went great. Letterman says that was the greatest moment of the whole experience including the sponge bath that he had after the treatment.

Barbara also acknowledged that she is feeling great after the surgery. This was the first time that Barbara joined the other co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd on the show, but there are rumors that Barbara is secretly producing a male version of “The View” show. If the rumor is correct, then it might also be true that her new show will be aired in Oprah Winfrey’s old spot in the afternoon. It may be recalled that Oprah Winfrey is set to retire from her talk show next year and start her own television network.

But whether the rumor is true or not, it is great to have Barbara back after the surgery.
