Barbara Walters’ “A Matter Of Life and Death” To Air On February 4

Feb 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In ABC’s special episode named “A Matter Of Life and Death” that will air on February 4, audience will see Barbara Walters sharing some vital discussions with eminent personalities which include former US President Bill Clinton, TV show host David Letterman, actor Robin Williams and Regis Philbin. The 81 year veteran journalist cum host called her special friends on the show as a part of the awareness campaign that she intends to give the audience by discussing the importance of heart surgery.
The episode that will go on air on Friday night will see the hostess sharing with the audience her own experience of overcoming a faulty heart valve. Barbara Walters said that after she learned that she had a faulty heart valve for which she needed to undergo a heart surgery, it was only Bill Clinton with whom she had shared the secret. The former president too had a quadruple bypass in 2004. Dr. Craig R. Smith of New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia who had performed the surgery on Bill Clinton did the valve repair operation on Barbara Walters. When asked, the former President said that he knew that he had no alternative if he wanted to survive. David Letterman confessed how terribly upset he had become in that situation adding that his tears were unstoppable.
Barbara Walters makes it clear that the episode is not any kind of lecture but an issue of grave concern which is why she has bought so many important persons to her show. Audience in this special episode will see these eminent personalities narrating their individual experiences starting from the diagnosis to the recovery.
