“Bank Of Hollywood”: Charity-Cum-Game Show

Dec. 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) E! has come up with the idea of a new show called “Bank of Hollywood”. The show is based on the format as the “Million Dollar Giveaway”, that was aired in the United Kingdom to huge success. The producer of the show, Ryan Seacrest, has touted the show as one that helps take the pressure away from the current generation by giving them the necessary cash to tide over some financial crisis, and do the whole thing in a lighthearted, enjoyable manner.
In the show “Bank of Hollywood”, the common people are the participants who come up to ask for money from the celebrities of Hollywood. The six panelists in the show are Candy Spelling, the author and entrepreneur, President of the Wilhelmina models Sean Patterson, poker player Vanessa Rousso of French- American origin and member of the band “Pussycat Dolls.” In the show, participants arrive from among the public and the audience. Participants come up with diverse reasons for requiring money. There are philanthropists who attempt to raise money for some charity, and there are also graduate students who need the money to buy a ring to propose.
As Ryan Seacrest commented, the purpose of the show is symbiotic. It gives the participants the opportunity to earn huge amounts of money to serve their purpose, and also allows the celebrities to fulfill their aim of helping the common man. “Bank of Hollywood” is being touted as a charity deed in the format of a game show. In each episode, one person is granted the amount he or she asks for.

how can I get on the show bank of hollywood I am poor I live in a trailer that is falling apart I realy don’t care for me but my husband who has worked his whole life to make us a home should not have to come home to a house trailer that needs so many repairs it leeks when it rains the celeings are falling down and it is very cold only stays 58 degrees in the winter I have medical problems that make it hard for me to work any more but I do think my husband deserves a place to come home to and be proud of we need $25000 to buy a new home I would even be willing to stay in the house trailer if he could atleaset have a home he could be proud of.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE A CONTESTANT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. After retiring from my 32 years of Nursing, i decided to open my home up to elderly sick dogs. I adopt only sick elderly small dogs. I now have three beautiful babies. The reason why i would like to be a contestant is because My latest adoptee a thirteen year old blind, arthritic Shi tzu/ terrier mix. She is in desperate need of eye surgery. If she were to have this surgery, it would improve her quality of life and she wouldn’t bump into walls. I also need to build some ramps for these dogs, so that i don’t have top carry them down the stairs each day to play in the fenced in yard that i provide for them. A good amount of my income is spent on there needs. I also have prchased medical insurance for them, however, it dosen’t cover eye surgery’s. I know most think that i am nuts for taking in these dogs and caring for them. Someone has to do it. I love them and can’t imagine my life without them. I am hoping to at some point do some repairs to my house to better accomodate my babies. My home is open to any other elderly small sick dog day or night. I would like to be on the show to ask bank of hollywood,with the payment of my first year in the university. I want to study marine biology,and where i come from there is no course like that so i want to travel to the United State Of America (hawaii) to school and i need money to keep me on my feet for the first year,then i will work and go to school to pay for the remaining years. Thankyou.
