After the IIFA held in June , which is the Indian cinema’s Oscar. The Bangkok Film Festival 2008 is back. The Bangkok International Film Festival will be held on September 23 – 30.
The event sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). This event will not only promote the Thai movies but also increase the tourism in Thailand.
This event will take place at the SF Cinema, at the heart of the modern town, with a new era of the shopping complex and on 28 September, there will be a “Golden Kinnaree Awards”
The word Kinnaree which is a Thai symbol means “half-bird, half-human”. It will be the first time the Tourism Authority of Thailand will venture with Federation of National Film Associations of Thailand (FNFAT) in this festive.
The FNFAT is expecting for a wide growth in the industry. The support and the investment is expected to be given by the government. Due to the competitive domestic, and world wide market the FNFAT also helps in the promotion of the films and sales of the movies including small budgeted films.
