Balu bags Tana Lifetime Achievement Award

Noted playback singer, Padma Shri SP Balasubrahmanyam was selected for the “Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA). The TANA would organise World Telugu Conferences once in every two years. The celebrations are slated this year from July 2 and would continue for three days at Rosemont Convention Centre at Chicago. The singer would receive the award at the function. This year, Junior NT Rama Rao, Charmme and other young artistes are going to participate in the function. SP Balasubrahmanyam is well known as a singer, artiste and dubbing artiste. He sang over 40,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. Earlier, such Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to P Suseela, Vempati China Satyam, Ramanaidu, Prof. CR Rao, Velcheru Narayana Rao and Gummadi Venkateswara Rao. -Sampurn Media
