April 24, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Balasekaran will be seen returning to direction with a Tamil remake of 2008 hit comedy “Vinayakudu’ which was originally in Telugu. The director disappeared for a while after giving a number of hits which include flicks like “Love Today’ with Vijay, “Arya’ starring Madhavan and “Kadhal Sugamanathu’ with Sneha as the lead.

But the ‘Vinayakudu’ remake, which deals with a unique storyline, will witness Balasekaran’s return to direction. Balasekaran will be introducing newcomer Krishnan as the main lead and Sonia who was seen playing the second lead in “Paiyaa’ will be the female lead. The movie also has comedian Santhanam and Poonam Kaur in important roles.

The storyline of Vinayakuda is a different one with a fat man falling in love with a beautiful girl. Having met only online, the girl is shocked by the guy’s appearance when they meet in person. Though she lets him know that she finds him unattractive and unacceptable the plot further unfolds with different circumstances bringing them together and gaining different perspectives. The proceeds of the story forms rest of the plot.

The movie is in its final stages of making and will be released soon.
