Actress Constance Marie gave birth to a baby girl in February. the 43-year old former “George Lopez Show” star and her yoga teacher fiance Kent Katich had a little girl on February 5th at 4.12pm, weighing 8 pounds 13 ounces. They named their daughter Luna Marie Katich, and she is the first child for both. The baby was born at a Santa Monica, California hospital.

Constance announced her pregnancy last fall and said, “After 10, 11 years of playing a mom, starting with Selena and then to the George Lopez Show, I think I finally decided I wanted to be one in real life!” She had also commented, “I am feeling good now. But the beginning was rough! Instead of ‘morning sickness’ they should call it ‘all day sickness!’”

About her daughter Constance said, “Luna Marie is so chubby-delicious! But, she’s a big baby! She came out lookin’ like she just got off work and was ready for a stiff martini at happy hour!”

Constance played Angie Lopez, the matriarch of the Lopez family on ABC’s “George Lopez Show” which ran from 2002-2007 and is still aired in syndication. She also played Marcela Quintanilla, the mother of Selena in “Selena”.

This is the first child for both Constance and her fiance Kent, the founder and president of All Sport Yoga. They have been together for 13 years and got engaged about 10 years ago. The couple said they were not sure if they wanted to get married immediately after the baby is born.
