March 12, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The mercury is rising and so are tales of tantrum from tellyland. Under the gun is actor-singer Baba Sehgal who allegedly is giving a tough time to one and all on the sets of SAB show Jugni chali Jalandhar. Apparently, a few of his erstwhile colleagues too are said to have taken a cue from his book.

A little birdie from the sets informs, “Baba Sehgal has been causing a lot of grief for a long time. He’s very egoistic. He thinks he’s the biggest superstar on the show. He’s been reporting late to work and even takes his own time to get ready for the shot. Because of him, other actors are also inconvenienced. A few of them are now ending up shooting 30 days in a month.”

Adding further, the source says, “Since no one is there to reprimand Sehgal, other actors like Ranjeet and Abhishek Avasthi are taking a cue from him. The veteran Ranjeet doesn’t want to shoot for more than six hours while Abhishek Avasthi had once threatened to quit the show. However, they can’t be held responsible. The chief miscreant is Baba.”

The alleged miscreant was quick to rubbish such tales.

“This is completely untrue. Probably, some actor must have told you this lie. Why would I not be happy with the show? In fact, I’ve just signed a film My friend Ganesha wherein my character is inspired by the one in Jugni… Besides, I can’t be blamed if other actors are shooting for more hours. I’ve been doing few south Indian films thus I only shoot for 15 days a month. There are days when you turn late by few hours but then I don’t leave the sets without completing my scenes,” said the actor.

We called a few leading actors from the show but they simply refused to comment.
