April 21, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Actor and comedian, Aziz Ansari, will host the 19th Annual MTV Movie Awards. This year’s MTV Movie Awards will be held on the 6th of June at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California. The reality show producer, Mark Burnett, will be the executive producer of the show. The award categories comprise the year’s superior films, best kiss, best fight and best global superstar.

MTV’s general manager, Stephen Friedman, has uttered that viewers loved Ansari on ‘Human Giant’. This was the sketch comedy show he had generated. This ran for two seasons in 2007 and 2008.

Commenting on the news, Ansari vocalized that it is a cool job for him as it permits him to do loads of things that he loves. He also checked with his friends and historical MTV Movie Awards’ hosts such as Sarah Silverman, Andy Samberg and Ben Stiller for recommendation. He jocularly uttered that this is a springboard to hosting the Nickelodeon Toddlers’ Choice Awards.

Ansari commenced his career enacting stand-up comedy in New York while attending the New York University. He performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre frequently. He achieved widespread appreciation as Tom Haverford on the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. He also generated and starred in the critically applauded, cult MTV sketch show Human Giant. He is geared up to start his “Dangerously Delicious” standup tour this summer. He will also be witnessed in the film ‘Get Him to the Greek’, a comedy starring Jonah Hill and Russell Brand, due in June.
