Axl’s Twitter Account Hacked

August 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): In latest music news, the Twitter account of Axl Rose has been hacked. There was a message posted on his account last night and that stated about the cancellation of every upcoming Guns N’ Roses gig. The statement also told people to contact the place of purchase in order to collect the refunds.

This however, did seem like a hoax as Rose wasn’t active on Twitter. Every other message from Rose was posted via iPhone and this newest tweet was through the mobile web. It was also strange that it had the British spelling of “cancelled’ instead of the US spelling.

Nonetheless, it proved troublesome as GNR’s tour partners in the UK and Europe had to look into the statement. Ticket holders who saw early on media reports of the made-up cancellation will without any doubt seek refunds.

The band is supposed to headline the famous Reading and Leeds Festivals, which is organized by Live Nation’s Festival Republic operation, on August 27 and on August 29. GNR fans would get to see their favorite band live soon. The Twitter account’s “mystery’ is already being looked into and very soon a probable solution would be achieved. Hope the fans get their taste of the fest via GNR.
