Los Angeles, April 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Avril Lavigne has revealed that her new album, “Goodbye Lullaby” was not inspired by her divorce with Deryck Whibley. She however revealed the album is “all about life” and part-produced by Deryck.

In an interview with the Rolling Stone Magazine, Avril revealed that her former husband, Deryck, part produced her song. She said people should not be surprised that they are still that “close”. When she was asked if “Goodbye Lullaby” was inspired by her divorce with Deryck, Avril replied in the negative insisting that it is about life.

She said that, “Deryck is the most talented person I know. He produced, mixed, played guitar and bass. I wouldn’t say it’s a breakup record. It’s about life. I went into it with a mind-set of not trying to write hits. People will make assumptions, but they’d be surprised what certain songs are about.”

26-year-old Avril met Deryck when she was just a 17-year-old. She explained that she met the 41-year-old at a bar and he was the first person to give her first shot of Jager. Avril believes that she deserves all the fame and attention she is getting because she had “worked hard.”
